  • Mr. Bijaya Ketan Das is an accomplished banking and regulatory professional with over 35 years of distinguished service at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Throughout his tenure at India’s apex financial institution, he held several senior leadership roles, including General Manager, Department of Non-Banking Supervision (DNBS), and contributed to multiple critical departments across the RBI’s Central Office and major metropolitan centres. His extensive regulatory experience has played a significant role in shaping supervisory frameworks and strengthening compliance systems.
  • Mr. Das has represented the RBI on international platforms in Singapore, Bangkok, and Kenya, where he trained central bankers from various countries, contributing to global financial governance. As a faculty member at the prestigious Bankers Training College, Mumbai, he mentored and developed future leaders of India’s banking sector.
  • After retiring from RBI, he served as the Internal Ombudsman at AU Small Finance Bank (2018–2021), bringing deep insights into grievance redressal, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

  • He began his professional journey with Laxmi India Finance, serving as Under Branch Manager from 2004 to 2020. During this tenure, his strong leadership, operational discipline, and customer-centric strategies helped the branch consistently achieve exceptional performance, earning the Best Branch Award for five consecutive years.
  • Following his successful service, Mr. Singh expanded his work through a guarantee-based lending model in association with Shriram Finance and MAS Financial Services, particularly in the three-wheeler and small-vehicle finance segment. His deep understanding of the rural credit ecosystem and grassroots customer behavior has enabled him to build long-term, trustworthy relationships in the sector.
  • Under his leadership, Sahyog Fincap Private Limited continues to focus on sustainable expansion, efficient service delivery, and meaningful financial inclusion.
